Advanced Essay Writing
Bundle and save with this 3-course package for grades 11-12 that teaches students skills in finding and critically evaluating source material, avoiding plagiarism, and documenting sources in MLA (Modern Language Association) Style.
Students produce 3 academic essays:
Working with Biased Sources (3 weeks) gives students a critical process for evaluating journalistic sources for bias, then harvesting useful information to learn about a topic of interest.
Writing a Summary and Response (4 weeks) teaches how to use and document source material, presents the basics of MLA Style, and guides students through one of the most frequently assigned short essays in college.
Writing a Position Argument (4 weeks) focuses on researching and writing an argument essay on a current topic.
The Advanced Essay Writing Bundle builds on skills introduced in the Beginner Essay Writing Bundle.
Purchase grants access to all 3 courses for 6 months.
All courses are asynchronous. That means there are no scheduled class meetings; all the instruction is included in the course so students can complete the work for each week at the times most convenient for your family.
